We really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful grounds with a very nice poo, so relaxing! Staff very friendly, free shuttle to & from San G. There is a back road you can walk, going is a lot harder than coming back. Towels for the pool available at the front desk. The whole place is super clean! Breakfast is a feast, indoor or outdoor seating with a view. We celebrated our anniversary at their 5 star restaurant, which was excellent and not that expensive. Highly recommend making reservations a head of time, well worth it. Our room was nice size with a patio, bathroom was good size. Very clean! Would definitely stay again! Tripadvisor

The perfect Tuscan Experience

We stayed at Hotel Sovestro for 4 nights in a double room with Patio and we hope to return one day in soon. The Hotel is absolutely beautiful. This was our first time in Tuscany and Hotel Sovestro provided us with the perfect Tuscan Experience. Even driving along the entrance to the hotel was magnificent enough. The hotel grounds were beautiful and pool was stunning. We went in the middle of July and we felt like we had the hotel to ourselves. Our room had fantastic air conditioning and was spotlessly clean. The hotel also provided us with a wonderful breakfast each morning and we loved the fresh orange juice machine. I would like to say a massive thank you to Laura for helping with any questions I had pre stay and for being so lovely during our stay. We look forward to our next visit. Tripadvisor

Hotel Solvestro had the best breakfast spread out of all of our stays. It was relieving to have so many options to choose from to start our day. The location was fantastic as it was either a five minute drive or a 30 minute beautiful, scenic walk into town. The compound offers two pools which were wonderful to relax at and recharge. It has a gym to workout in and stretch to help combat travel aches. We also were delighted to eat at the restaurant at the hotel with delicious local dishes and a Michelin Bib Gourmand award. This is a great place to stay overall in Tuscany as it allows day trips to all of Tuscany’s treasures. Booking.com

Based ourselves here for some days exploring Tuscany. We enjoyed a couple of walks into SG and back (quite hilly but take it slow and enjoy the views of SG, about 25 mins each way). Rooms are typical, somewhat dated but spotlessly clean and daily housekeeping service. The breakfast was good. We had dinner one night at the restaurant and the service and the food was reasonable. A little on the expensive side, but it was a very relaxed place with a nice view before dark. Google

The hotel is great. Rooms are spacious and clean, the staff is very very welcoming and nice, and the location is perfect. You can walk or drive to San Gimignano and enjoy the beautiful landscape. e went for the week in January 2023 to celebrate my partners 60th birthday, we had been to Tuscany before and loved it. this hotel did not disappoint. we loved everything about it. the location is perfect, just a short distance from San Gimignano, lovely and peaceful. the room was lovely, very spacious and very clean. room was tidied every day. the restaurant menu was very nice, we ate in there about 4 nights out of the 6 in total that we stayed for, and the staff were superb, couldn't do enough for us! the breakfasts were amazing too! we didnt get chance to sample the pool with it being January and out of season, but we would certainly come back again during the warmer months to try it out. we would like to thank everyone there who made our little break so enjoyable and memorable.......Grazie! While the entrance to the hotel looks very modest,the interior, the terraced eating areas and the pool area are all very nice. The staff encountered were passably friendly without being exceptional. The hotel is beautifully situated and within walking distance of the lovely town of San Gimignano. In general, it is a very pleasant place to stay.

My wife me and our 3 year old truly enjoyed our mini vacation at Sovestro. It is a well kept Tuscan style place with a very friendly and relaxing feel to it. like San Gimignano in general the pepole running Sovestro set a very high standard in looking after their facility and the people visiting it. the one downside I could list is that depending on in what direction your windows are you may hear some traffic, if you want a dead quite place this may not be it. But it is located next to wine Yards in a beatiful Tuscan landscape. A 5 min walk on a rustic road will take you to a magical panorama view of San Gimignano and surroundings. I have traveled a lot always picking well rated 4-5* places to stay, how this can only be 3* is unexplainable to me. And by the way, the restaurant is magnificent, and if it is a Tuscan experience you look for you will enjoy the quality selection of local specialties in the breakfast buffet as well. www.expedia.it
